This can happen the first time you connect.
Sometimes a black video player may start automatically even if you didn't ask for it. This is a common smartphone behavior, not an unwanted video or subliminal content ;-) Just close the video using the 'X' button. This rarely happens.

A) Did you tap or click on your screen once you arrived in your listening room?
B) Is a translator currently speaking?
For this, please see the section below regarding smartphone sleep settings.
On Android, listening with the screen off or while using another app is not enabled by default. You must perform on of theses (or both) manually:

1. The easiest way: Battery settings
==> Use Chrome as your browser!
To ensure Chrome keeps streaming audio from VDO.ninja while you use other apps (like the Bible), you must lift battery restrictions:
1. Go to your Android Settings.
2. Go to Apps > Chrome.
3. Tap Battery (or "Battery usage").
4. Select "Unrestricted" (instead of "Optimized").

2. Use Multitasking:
On many Android phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.), you can "lock" the app so it never closes:
1. Open the recent apps menu.
2. Long-press the Chrome icon at the top of the preview.
3. Choose "Keep open" or tap the padlock icon.
The content streamed via this tool, using VDO.ninja through a YSMINISTRY configuration interface, is private to you. No data is stored or routed through external servers. The devices themselves, networked via VDO.ninja, perform the signal encoding/decoding. Therefore, there is no need to encrypt the signal going from one device to another. No data is stored on your devices.
This system is based on a peer-to-peer principle. Once you turn off or leave the instance, you do not keep any data.
Neither YSMINISTRY nor VDO.ninja can be held responsible for the content broadcast through this service. This service is the boat: it serves to transport you from A to B, but is absolutely not responsible for its cargo.
For any translation, it is essential to create your instance.
An instance, once created, can be used and reused infinitely. Each instance currently offers severall channels.

This tool is used exclusively via a browser. Only the links generated by the admin allow you to create a functional ecosystem. All users (admin, translators, or listeners) do not need a dedicated application.
The system was designed for conferences, seminars, or celebrations where the translator is physically at the same location as the original sound or language. However, listeners can be anywhere in the world, as it creates an open internet stream.
You can even print these links using the provided tool, which generates a PDF for you. Remember your instance name; that is the most important part.

Create your instance

a)⚙️ Admin Use the admin page to name your instance and generate access links.
b) 🎤 Translators
Access via QR code or by carefully typing the instance name provided by the admin. Please note: on mobile, do not use the "mute" or mic-cut tool, as the reopening (green mic) is not effective.
c) 🎧 Listeners
Access via QR code or by entering the name of the instance chosen by the admin.
Access passwords for the various settings pages are found here. The goal of these passwords is to prevent unauthorized access or accidental clicks.
